Our Nutrition coaches are both board certified Registered Dietitians with a background in CrossFit. They’re passionate, personable, and looking forward to helping you achieve your goals!
Meet our Nutrition Coaches
Samantha Manero, MS, RD
Sam is a Registered Dietitian and CrossFit Level 1 certificate holder who is eager to help individuals navigate the complicated world of food and nutrition. She believes an individualized approach to food and nutrition is necessary for success, regardless of a client’s goals. In addition, Sam loves helping others discover what they are capable of inside the gym, because when we believe in ourselves, it extends to life outside the fitness space. Sam has been a member at CFRT since the outdoor WOD’s on Washington street 5 years ago, and recently became a coach in July, 2019. When she’s not at CFRT, she is probably cooking, knitting, sharing nutrition information and crushing nutrition myths on her blog, or listening to 50’s big band music.
Jennifer O’Brien, MEd, RD, LDN
Jennifer is a Registered Dietitian, NASM certified personal trainer, and CrossFit Level 1 certificate holder who has worked to combine her two passions, nutrition and weightlifting, to help those who are seeking optimal wellness inside and outside of the gym. Jennifer believes every client is unique and deserves a personalized nutrition and exercise prescription to ensure long term sustainability, not only to improve performance but also to encourage personal growth. Jennifer is a USAW weightlifting member and trains as part of RX Weightlifting Club in Somerville, Massachusetts. She has just recently begun competing in USAW sanctioned weightlifting meets with her team. You can find her by the ocean, hiking, reading up on the latest nutrition trends, and recipe testing in her spare time.
Nutrition Onboard & Assessment
- 60-minute initial assessment
- Two bi-weekly 30-minute follow ups
- Weekly informal check in via text/email (Skype, Facetime) or in person
- Nutrition Support is $40 after the Onboard & Assessment
