U.S. Army Second Lieutenant Clovis T. Ray, 34, of San Antonio, Texas, assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, based in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, was killed on March 15, 2012, in Kunar province, Afghanistan, when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. He is survived by his wife Shannon, son Dean, parents Bob Ben Sr. and Cecilia, brothers Eddie and Bob Ben Jr., and sister Jennifer.
In the event of severe thunderstorms we will change the workout. Let’s get after our Sunday Hero WOD!
RIP Clovis T. Ray.
Great work, everyone.
Enjoy the day.
Such an awesome morning at CFRT today!! I always enjoy being able to join in on a class but even more so when it’s a grueling wod like this one. There’s nothing better than trashing yourself right along side your members. PJ and I partnered up and did 300 Burpee pull ups and 10 miles. No idea of the time since I don’t time Hero wods but it was well over an hour. Thanks for being a great partner Peej, despite your long legs making my rest shorter than I would have liked at the end! Thanks also to Mike for the support as always. Your voice is the only one i hear when I wod. I’m excited to be able to join in on more RWB days now that we are combining them with our Sunday class. RIP Clovis, gone but never forgotten.
Great turnout today! Great job everyone. Way to represent an American HERO!! RIP WARRIOR
Awesome morning at CFRT! Running and burpees aren’t exactly my “thing”, but when it’s a hero WOD, none of that matters and you just give what you have. Dare I say I am starting to “enjoy” running? Great job everyone, love the support we all show each other out there. RIP Clovis, thank you for your sacrifice, we will never forget.
Great work Rail Trailers! I wish we were able to cheer longer or to participate today! So proud of our support of vets and Team RWB!
So proud of everyone who came out and left it all out there, you guys embody what CFRT is all about! RIP warrior, you are not forgotten
So happy I was able to participate in this wod. I partnered up with my sister and we did 300 burpee pull ups and the 10 mile run. We finished in 96:20 and only kept track to use for a bench mark for when we do it together again.
It was cool to wod with team RWB. I also loved WODing with Sarah and Pj. Everyone did awesome and gave it their best. RIP Clovis, never forget.
Rip Clovis T. Ray
Today was one of the very reasons why I love Crossfit and this community. Would have been able to do the full 10 miles and 150 burpee pull ups without all of you and especially gaff and Phil who decided to continue on with me after completing the first 5 miles and 150 burpee pull ups. It’s crazy what your body is capable of when you push yourself past your limits. Such a great hero wod! Thank you for putting this all together!!!
