First time I have done all dubs in a WOD! Progress not perfection!
Last year I did this WOD and got 9+75 doing RR and 2xsingles .
Today I got 7+10, but I did kipping pull-ups and Dubs this go around! Although I got less rounds, I was proud that I’ve improved on the movements themselves. Kept tripping over my dubs today, grrrrr!…but at least I kept trying and going…not going to get better under fatigue unless I keep attacking them in a WOD!

It was tough to get the old body going after 3 days off but I felt better once we got going. That is until I hit round 7 of the sit-ups then I started to regret the 10 pounds of Mac and cheese and 2 cases of beer I consumed over the holidays.

Unfortunately, while resting my back my mobility has suffered – I felt like the tin (wo)man doing squats!! But it is OK, I can get better!! Super happy to be working out again!! Woo Hoo!!

Blew my old score out of the water! Beat it by 3 rounds AND didn’t have to scale the pull ups and push ups like I did last time.

Huge 430 class today which was awesome! Started off with some line drills which is always a good time. Had fun with this one today. Just tried to stay a couple reps ahead of Duane. He gave me a run for my money for sure. I was surprised and happy at the end when I counted up my rounds. Great work everyone. Thanks Mike!!

Liked this WOD a lot for many reasons…looking back to a year ago when I started I was doing jumping pull-ups and singles and got a great workout with those movements making just over 7 rounds.
Today, a year later, I was able to do this WOD as written using butterfly pull-ups and my Dubs were on fire tonight (even when my rope started to fray 🙂 Can’t thank the coaches enough for the physical health I have been able to achieve and of course the great community we have.
For any of you new off elements believe the words “respect the process” that the coaches say all the time…if you follow the progressions they have you on you will get better and better…don’t rush the process, slow and steady wins the race!
