Thank you Coach Mike!!! Just what I needed to get moving. All the things hurt right now. Standing on a hard floor for a few hours along with the aftermath of 16.4 made my back cranky. I did consider not going out in the snow at 5:30 in the morning…but knew that I couldn’t face a long day without my time with the All Stars. A small crew but a mighty one…and it included All Star Mike!

Nice work All Stars – way to get after it despite the snow. We will be back to opening doors and running outside in a couple days!
I love New England…it is like crossfit…constantly varied!
Gym/skill – still trying to figure out Kipping pull ups and using the momentum. I need to get aggressive.

I did the first 3 rounds with 10 Kipping pull ups and then I switched to 5.

OG for another crack at 16.4 – yes, i’m that crazy.
My goal was to get fewer no reps and a few more calories and did just that.
Different rep scheme on Deads, but finished in about the same time; wall balls went much better. Not enough in the tank to push through to finish the row, but got 7 more calories.

Wallballs were so solid today! I have no doubt you would have made it to the bar had you actually been on fully recovered legs! Such a great job Janet, thanks for letting me be your judge. 🙂

Oly – great cues today regarding bar position ,resting location ,elbow distance/ hand position to find the sweet spot to pop bar up and off body for that weightless position of sweetness.Still lots of learning and practice but a light bulb went off .
WOD – 6+ 7
C2Bs were sloppy ,legs dangling like a puppet …. More awesome learning and tweaking. ,keep legs together, body tight and engaged as other big Kipping needed movements as well as the push away at the top. Sometimes better to drop off and hop back up rather than hang and recorrect .

Worked on oly got up to 105# for jerks. I need to dip deeper and get more aggressive. Dont usually work on jerks so it felt good to work on those.
This was a nice recovery wod even though it felt super hard after doing 16.4 yesterday. Got 3+42 (or 43 I cant remember) it was almost 4 rounds doing C2B. Thank you Sarah for helping me with my pull ups and C2B after class. Those few things are going to make a huge difference.

Worked on push press and push jerks. It’s far from perfect but my jerks are actually starting to not look like push presses.
WOD – 6 + 2
I lost my C2B halfway through round 2 and they never came back. I did kipping pull-ups the rest of the way.

Gym skill today. Worked those ring rows and picked Coach Sarah’s brain for a strength plan for getting these pull ups going!!

Scaled to 7 after the first round. 10 was ambitious and I kept no-repping myself…didn’t want to stand around too much, so I decided to change it on the fly.
Saw most of my favorite peeps at the 9:30 🙂
