I’ll admit, I miss All.The.Moves Thursdays that we did during the Open. But, if we had to start “Big” MetCons, this was a good one. Well done Coach Mike!
“We’ll be Pigs” (aka, Mini Murph) – 42:53 (RR/45#)
In my dreams, I finished this in sub-30 with 65#. When I got there and the 5am were pushing 40 minutes and still kicking ass, I put that dream on hold and lightened the weight significantly. Kept a pretty constant pace, except for that last spurt of energy on the final 50 meters.
Unfortunately, most of the 6am All Stars missed this one. I’m guessing they got confused and stayed home to rest up for another Friday Night Fiesta; I’m sure they weren’t cherry picking.
Thank you for taking requests Coach DJ Pj and thanks for keeping us moving when we really didn’t want to.
I was nervous for this workout, but it wasn’t as terrible as I thought. I like (strong word) these shorter distance running better. I am glad Phil had me go for that extra round after I finished round 7 at 26 minutes, thank you!
Great workout this morning with even better weather. Did 8 pu to keep my arms from fatiguing to much. After 8 rounds my arms were smoked so decided to stop it there to not risk injury.
Everyone crushed it this morning! Thanks Mike and Phil!
I started with 5 rounds hoping for 6 depending on how fast I was moving through…around 27 minutes in I finished round 6 and I asked Phil if I should call it quits or keep going…I bet you can guess his answer, haha.
Kept going until the 30 minutes mark and happily plopped on the ground mid burpee when the magic number came on the clock.
I was happy to be running, the last few rounds I tried to run/walk every 25 meters or so to keep going.
Thank you Mike V. for literally pushing me during those runs!
Got 39:08 w/ 115# a grinder for sure. Legs are feeling good after this one though and arms are feeling strong. No Snaking of the Burpees today so lower back pain was nonexistent, something I have been trying to focus on. Only problem is body was not awake yet and didn’t move as fast as I wanted it to. Great class PJ and way to crush this one 5am
Excited to have big METCON day back!! Perfect day to be outside running. I was able to keep all the reps unbroken and kept the same pace the entire time. Great work 930 & 430! Everyone attacked this nasty little metcon with everything they had!!
Awesome spice WOD, although my pull ups, burpees and Pwr Cleans felt good, my runs were very hard. I battle a burning feeling on my shin from around round 2 and I really had to pace it.
I’m really happy I could participate to my content!
Gotta say, I was not looking forward to this one…Strongly considered skipping it. I was mentally and physically exhausted, but I knew I would feel better having done it…
..And I was right. I set my goal for 6 rounds with 10 ring rows, 5 burpees, and 6 power cleans 65#. I even somehow managed to keep almost the same pace the whole time, finishing at 30:15 (I think.)
Tough wod for sure, but I would’ve been really disappointed with myself for not at least giving it what I had.
This should have been a partner WOD. Had to leave to catch my train, didn’t finish.
30:30 (8 rounds/ jumping / 75#)
I got the movie, better late than never…
37:30 (#105) thanks for the coaching and motivation PJ.
Way to work 5am!
Enjoy the day.

Well…sounds like I picked a good day to rest! No cherry picking for me. Not gonna lie though – I was ok with missing it!
Back at it tomorrow…but will keep it light to get ready for the comp.
Nice work All Stars!

WOD = 33:14 . Smooth and steady pace the whole WOD which left room for a small burst on the last round.
Nice job everyone!!
