The worst part was my hands becoming ice blocks after the 3rd run and having to pick up a kettlebell. A mental grind but a great work out. Nice job 5amers. Great coaching PJ
“Under Sedation”
22:53-ish
Modifed to go easy on the shoulder
200 Dubs for 100 Push-ups – OK, not great.
100 26# Russian KBS
This was a nice little burner. Squats-run-kBS-run was the worst of it.
Did the 300m runs as 100m, then 200m; seemed psychologically better 🙂
Broke up push-ups into sets of 10 until 70, then sets of 5 rest of way. Found a good pace early on the air squats and banged out 80…then two sets of 10. Went light on KB but for this one think it was right weight for me.
I am not feeling great – sore and tired – so I decided half was good. Worked out well. Kept moving which was the goal.
It did seem like a good one to get ready for the Fenway Spartan on Saturday. This whole expecting the unexpected thing is definitely the first obstacle for me!
This was a grinder for sure just had to keep moving. Thanks for the rep schemes Gaff really helped me last throughout the WOD and not blow up. Way to crush this one today 430 and thanks for the added motivation Gaff was a huge help especially in a grinder like this one.
I barely made it through that one. I’m still fighting a few injuries and the runs and the KB swings really slowed me down a lot. Thanks Gaff for pushing me through that one! Great job 7:00 p.m.!
“Under Sedation”
Capped at 25 mins 🙁 (75 push-ups)
Made it through 96 of the KBS… Just 4 more and a run to go. Good work 5am, thanks pj
