Since my car desperately needs tires (like I failed inspection) I really should not have tried to get to the box…but I HAD to meet Cindy! Then it seemed like I was going to me alone with her…till Derek dropped in before heading off the plow for the day. YAY!
Last time I met her was April 2015 – I needed an abmat and I squatted to a bench. Got 12 + 5 and it was brutal! Honestly I had a hard time getting over the math… I started realizing how many squats I would have to do even if I matched the last score which was NOT an option. Then the snow…I could stay home and be legit. But I can’t do that…that was the old me. New me said get there and do it!
So YAY ME! And YAY for Derek. I missed his face so it was a reward for pushing and getting there.
Thanks PJ! It was awesome to get some one on one coaching on the rower. It’s gonna be put to good use on the repeat of the WOD challenge.

Snow day doesn’t = a rest day…decided to venture out for the 9:30 since I had to stop in at work for a minute this morning anyways. Turned out to be the only one!

This was my first Cindy encounter, and a 20 minute APRAP seemed like a loooong time to WOD by myself. Sarah gave me the option to leave and come back maybe for the 4:30 to see if others showed up, or just suck it up and do it since I was already there…
Modified to 7 push ups after the first 2 rounds (from knees)but kept everything else the same. Ring rows for my pull ups. The push ups were the hardest part of this WOD by far. I definitely need to give push-ups more love, more often.

Those push ups turn on you fast! Haha but the knee push hurt those bad so next time this comes around hopefully I won’t have to go to the knees at all!

I was really tired today and I almost thought I couldn’t do this one, but I’m glad I went and did it, the push ups was though, but the squats omg.. My knee…My knee…Hahaha

PR’d my Cindy by over 2 rounds today which was a pleasant surprise! I was able to butterfly all my pull ups and never broke on the air squats which I usually do a couple times. Push ups were feeling pretty good today. Did the first 8 or so rounds unbroken then started doing 6/4 which eventually turned into 5/5 and then 5/3/2. Love counting up the tick marks at the end of the workout! Nice big 430 class today with lots of Cindy PR’s!! Great work peoples!!! Thanks Sarah!!!
Today I did Cindy as written and got 13+4. Last time I did Cindy back in April, I got 15+3 BUT I had to scale it and use my knees and ab mats for the push ups. So overall very happy with my score. Can’t wait to do this one again!
